These Are The Best Comfy Jeans For Women That Will Never Chafe

I’m a jeans girl, always have been (okay, maybe not during COVID, but can you blame me?). Like, they were all I wore to school during seventh grade.

I owned a solid four good pairs, and they were so comfy after months of washing on a regular basis. But I also had jeans that just… hurt. The chafing was real, and I hated ‘em. Didn’t matter that they were loose-fitting – they were out to get me and my sensitive skin.

Now that COVID is coming to an end and I’m reentering society, I have a dilemma: I own no pairs of jeans that feel as comfortable as my running pants. And after one year of comfy pants, I’m not about to settle for uncomfortable jeans in the name of fashion.

So, what did I do? I hopped on the internet and scoured reviews, endlessly searching for highly-rated, super-comfy jeans for women that look fresh and feel like a gentle hug – without chafing. Read on for my research findings!

Denim Straight Leg

These jeans don’t look like your standard zip-and-button-up jeans, and it’s… kind of refreshing, tbh. They’re made from four-way stretch knit denim, so they follow you rather than restrict your movement. They come with real pockets, too – every woman’s dream.

Look, Gen Z, I want to be buried in my skinny jeans. What do you have to say about that? In my defense, Athleta’s Sculptek jeans are sooo comfy. They’re made of cotton, polyester, and spandex, so that denim rub is a thing of the past. Sign. Me. Up.

These are my dream jeans post-COVID. Elastic waistband? Yes please, because COVID def edged me out of my size 6s. I also love the elastic on the ankles for that classic jogger look. You can dress them up or down, for grocery runs or for lunch meetings, and they’ll fit right in.

The Ultimate Girlfriend Jeans

Who needs to steal their boyfriend’s jeans when there are girlfriend jeans that are cuter? This pair is super flattering thanks to the snug-but-not-tight fit on the waist and loose fit from the thighs to the ankles – can your boyfriend jeans do that?

Kenra Indigo Supersoft

These jeans will maintain their shape no matter how many times you wear them. This can sound like a nightmare for uncomfortable jeans, but these ones? They’re made with Mavi’s Supersoft Fabrication, which uses Tencel lyocell, a wood-based fiber that creates total softness.

At this point, I think we all can admit that we love stretch, and DUER’s jeans offer that with their fabric blend. They’re also made with COOLMAX technology, so even if it’s hot, you’ll feel juuust right temp-wise thanks to the breathability.

Women’s Double L® Jeans, Relaxed Fit

When you think jeans, it’s hard not to think L.L. Bean. They’re the OGs for us older Zillennials – our parents most likely had L.L. jeans in their closets. The relaxed, roomy denim will keep its shape from the day you get the pair to the day you let them go – if you let them go, that is.

The Super-Soft Relaxed Jean

If you need a pair of white jeans – which everyone does, live outside of your comfort zone – Everlane’s Super-Soft Relaxed Jean is what you need in your life. The material is super soft with a looser fit, and the site boasts that they have a broken-in feel. I gotta have them.
