Scooby Doo Themed Drinks And Shots You Need To Try Right Now
A little while ago, I saw a TikTok about the Scooby snack shot, which I had never tried before but immediately knew I’d have to. With all the delicious flavors involved, I knew it’d be a new favorite of mine. So, when I went to the bar next, my friend and I ordered the shot and were immediately hooked. We asked the bartenders to make us more variations of the Scooby snack shot recipes and we ended up discovering an array of flavors we adored all in-suit of the mystery gang themselves. After that night of tipsy and tasty times, I tried looking up the other variations our bartenders made us, only to discover they likely made the tasty combos up themselves, because trust me, I could not find the “Daphne” or the “Velma,” etc. anywhere. So, in an attempt to pass on the tasty recipes named after the Mystery gang that even had the bartenders tasting and loving the flavors, I’ve made a list of what I’m fairly sure I drank on my night of Scooby Doo tasting. Hopefully you enjoy these drinks just as much as we did!
Scooby Snack Shot
This is the classic, and oh boy, is it good. With equal parts coconut rum, banana liqueur, melon liqueur, and pineapple juice, this shot is delicious, and gets even better when it’s shaken AND topped off with whipped cream. I can definitely see Scooby and Shaggy slamming these delicious shots and well, getting slammed because these are deceptively tasty.
Scooby Snack Cocktail
Want to turn that delicious shot into a cocktail? No problem! If you’d rather sip and enjoy your Scooby Snacks, I don’t blame you! They’re seriously so tasty and as a drink, you just have more of that goodness! Sounds like a score to me!
“The Velma Cocktail”
We start out pretty similar to the classic Scooby snack flavors with all of these drinks, likely to keep the theme alive and, well, also because it’s a delicious way to start out a cocktail. Using equal parts coconut rum, banana liqueur, and pineapple juice, we give the drink that classic “Scooby Doo” feel. But, Velma’s drink is not green, but of course, orange! So, you’ll also want to add in some peach liqueur and a splash of orange juice. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to shake it up with whipped cream. That delicious creaminess is also something that remains pretty constant among these Scooby Doo themed drinks.
“The Shaggy Cocktail”
This one is super close to the Scooby Snack cocktail but with a tasty twist: chocolate! Yup, take equal parts coconut rum, banana liqueur, melon liqueur, and Bailey’s and shake it up with some whipped cream. The result: something that tastes like Shaggy would devour it in one lick– sort of like a tropical banana split!
“The Daphne Cocktail”
With a floral twist, this cocktail is as tasty as it is pretty! Daphne’s namesake drink includes equal parts coconut rum, banana liqueur, lavender liqueur, and pineapple juice, all shaken up with, you guessed it, whipped cream!
