Global warming may be in full effect, but that doesn’t mean we have to wait for it to snow to get into the winter spirit. Cold girl makeup looks went viral last year and it’s going viral again this year. This makeup look allows you to embrace your inner snow angel no matter what the temperature is outside.

What is Cold Girl Makeup?

Cold girl makeup emphasizes the look of being out in the freezing temperatures of winter, but make it pretty. The base for this look includes full coverage under the eyes and light coverage everywhere else. For the rest of the face use a very pink blush on the cheeks and nose to make it appear as if you have been chilled by the winter wind. The lips are kept very natural as well as the brows. The eyes are very simple with a bright white inner corner highlight and some shimmer on the lid. To make your eyes pop even more you can place a white eyeliner in the waterline. If you want something more natural you can use a nude.

I’ve followed @i.an.ya.i for years on Instagram before TikTok was even around. She kills every single look she does and cold girl makeup is no exception. I believe she uses the e.l.f. Cosmetics No Budge Shadow Stick in Perfect Pearl. This retails for only $5 and is amazing quality! About-face by Halsey has a similar shadow stick that I’ve heard nothing but great things about. Both of these products are self setting but you can go over them with an eyeshadow in the same color for an extra pop. She also uses this shadow stick to highlight her nose!

@tatlafata uses the iconic viral liquid blush by Rare Beauty in the shade Happy. This blush achieves the bright pink cheeks to make you look like you’ve been out in the cold for a little too long effortlessly. She opts for a more glittery eyelid using the Fenty Diamond Bomb All Over Diamond Veil in How Many Carats. She also uses this to highlight her nose. This retails for $42 which is a little steep. Don’t rush to go buy it for this one makeup look, I’m sure you have a similar glittery shadow in your collection. This is me deinfluencing you!

Both girls use a white-ish eyeliner in their waterline. Depending on your skin tone, you may want to adjust what color you use accordingly. I think bright white liner doesn’t look right on me, so I opt for more of a nude. My current favorite is the Colourpop Creme Gel Eyeliner in the shade Calabasas. It looks more reflective much like a watery waterline. You have to try it for yourself because it’s amazing. It retails for $8 and stays all day.

The last step is to add your favorite lip gloss and you’re good to go! These cold girl makeup looks are similar yet very different. Make sure to put your own spin on it with your favorite products this winter season!
