Have you ever wondered what happens to packages that never get delivered? Meet Fundelivered, a service started with that exact question in mind. This mystery box service allows you to open other people’s packages and keep what you find inside. The best part about Fundelievered? Literally anything can be in your package! We’ll be going over the story of this company and how you too can (legally) open other people’s mail in this Fundelivered review.
Fundelivered was founded during the height of the pandemic, when everyone was quarantined at home and ordering everything from online retailers. Due to the influx of orders around the globe, more packages ended up lost, sent back, or never claimed by their owners. Rebecca and Jena, based in Ocala, Florida, began the service as an “Unclaimed Packages” mystery box service. They would purchase unclaimed packages auctioned from a supplier, and then resell those packages as mystery boxes to their customers.
Within the two years since starting the business, Fundelivered has shipped over 30,000 orders across the US. Rebecca and Jena have stated that “the most valuable things in life are experiences” and through Fundelivered, they believe they are sharing experiences with their customers.
The first question you may have; is this service legal? According to Fundelivered’s website, when packages have the wrong address, no forwarding address, or are not picked up from the postal carrier, these packages technically aren’t anyone’s property. Most of these packages are from online retailers, and since these packages are not delivered to their owners, they are still the property of those retail companies. Instead of restocking these items, the retailers instead sell them to suppliers, who in turn auction them to companies like Fundelivered.
The best part about this mystery box is that pretty much anything can be found in these packages. The most common items seem to be clothing like shirts, dresses, or even shoes. But other items, such as books, electronics, jewelry, tools, and much more can be found in any of these mystery boxes. If you can order it online, then you can expect to find it at Fundelivered! Their packages range from the “Mini Brands” mystery box starting at $33, to the largest “Big & Tall” mystery boxes with six large packages at $115. If you want to learn more about the different mystery box options, check out their website here.
If you’re a person who enjoys mystery boxes, I would recommend trying Fundelivered if you haven’t already. Though I have yet to use the service myself, I’m interested in giving it a try in the future!
