We all love sweet treats. Whether that be boba, ice cream, candy or whatever else suits your tastebuds. There is one candy brand that I love so much when it comes to sweet treats. It is definitely on the fancier side but it tastes amazing. This brand is Sugarfina.
What is Sugarfina?
Sugarfina is a luxury candy shop. A “boutique” as they like to call themselves. It is a candy boutique that targets adults. They are known for their cute little cube packaging. Rather than a plastic bag or wrapper that candies typically come in, Sugarfina’s candies are all packaged in small, clear cubes.
The brand sources its products from artisan candy makers. Artisan candies are typically handmade and in smaller batches, which generally requires a specific set of skills, a great deal of time and effort. This contributes to the candies’ higher price point. As opposed to mass candy production, that uses machines and produces in larger quantities, this is part of the reason why Sugarfina is considered a “luxury” candy brand.
Some of Sugarfina’s candy flavors are sour bears gummies, dark chocolate sea salt caramels, Champagne bears gummy and lemon shortbread gummies. They also offer alcoholic flavors, containing real alcohol, which is what makes this place an adult candy boutique. In stores, there will be signs saying you must be 21+ in front of the candies containing alcohol. Some of the alcoholic candy flavors are espresso martini truffles, lemon drop martini gummies, cosmopolitan gummy bears, single malt scotch cordials and dark chocolate tequila cordials. At one point, I remember they had collaborated with Truly Seltzers to make Truly flavored gummies.
Now that you have an idea of what Sugarfina is and what they have to offer, the important question is, “is Sugarfina good?”
Is Sugarfina good?
In my experience thus far, I would say yes, they are pretty good. I have bought from them a couple of times and every time, it was a pleasant experience all around. As a big chocolate lover, their chocolate selections are amazing. I love the creativity of some of the flavors and the presentation of them.
I think their presentation and marketing of the candy is truly what sets them apart from other generic candy brands. Everything is just so pretty. From the details of the gummies to the packaging, it’s an experience. Their iced caramel latte-flavored gummies were incredible. I definitely finished them faster than I should have.
Sugarfina’s candies also make great presents. In my previous article about graduation gifts, I mentioned plenty of gifts you could give to a newly graduated college student. Sugarfina is one that I would like to add to that list. It is something that I asked for as a present after my graduation.
Sugarfina is meant to be gifted. They have whole sections dedicated to gifts for all kinds of occasions including weddings, birthdays, thank you’s and much more. You can even customize your own bento box set. Small box sets include three cubes, bigger ones can have four to nine cubes. You can customize your gift box to have up to 20 cubes! It makes a great present for many people and many different occasions. They even came out with a Mother’s Day recently since the day is coming up.
Presents aside, Sugarfina is also a great “treat yourself” treat. No special occasions are required to get a fancy little sweet treat. They also have a rewards system so you can rack up your points with every purchase.
