2025 hit the ground running and it’s already flying by so fast! It’s almost February, isn’t that crazy? This year is an exciting year for both my astrology girlies, and for fans of space and nature, there’s so much to come and I’m personally so excited! One of my resolutions this year was to be more disciplined with my spiritual practices, and a great way to get back into it is creating habits/rituals every New and Full Moon! For example, something as simple as cleansing your space or your crystals twice a month is a great place to start.

I’m going to be taking you through a few key astrological events that are popping up this year, and telling you about our 2025 astrology predictions, and how to take the most advantage of them. This could be spiritually, physically, or mentally – as always, take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

January

Starting off strong, 2025 began with a Mars Retrograde – which is a time to slow down and re-align with your goals. Have you been slow to initiate your New Year’s Resolutions, or not taking the time to focus on yourself? That’s totally valid, and I feel you! Take this retrograde to direct your energy inwards – this can promote inner healing, but it can also bring out some frustration and self-doubt, so make sure you’re practicing mindful self-care!

We also have an amazing New “Snow” Moon in Aquarius on the 29th! Like with most New Moons, the Snow Moon opens you up for renewal and introspection as we transition into some warmer months (fingers crossed), and gives you opportunities to set new intentions for the following months! I know I’m going to be journaling, and maybe I’ll finally finish my goal board!

February

February provides an amazing Full Moon in Leo on the 12th! Leo’s are all about love and leadership, so release your inhibitions, feel your emotions deeply and passionately, let go of what no longer serves you, and challenge your ego! As a Leo, I’ll definitely be journaling about my own experience with ego and pride, and begin my journey of letting that go! I’m a Leo/Virgo cusp, so I have the ego combined with the emotional stress! Love that!

A New “Worm” Moon in Pisces is a great time to refocus on both your creative and spiritual endeavors, really tapping into that imagination and intuition for guidance through these projects. That’s happening at the very end of the month on the 27th, another great time for reflection! An interesting fact about the Worm Moon, it gets its name due to the earthworms that pop up in the spring when the soil begins heating up! Would you still love me if I was an earthworm in lukewarm soil?

March

March is full of important retrogrades, Moons, and eclipses, so strap in!!

On March 1st, Venus (the planet of self-value, harmony, and romance) begins its retrograde in Aries. When moving backwards into Aries, Venus tends to bring past relationships back into focus, and challenges us to break unhealthy patterns, and to begin healing in our current relationships. We’re also challenged to embody our own worth and instincts, and reconnect with our inner desires. However, when Venus retrogrades towards Pisces on the 27th, we may be privy to manipulation, or ignoring red flags – but don’t fall for it, and hold out until this period ends on April 12th!

March 14th brings multiple events that you won’t want to miss! We begin with a Virgo Full Moon, which highlights work and organization, and prompts motivation towards a healthier lifestyle – which could manifest physically, mentally, or emotionally. Also, for the first time since 2022, there will be a Total Lunar Eclipse!! This phenomenon is also called the “Blood Moon Effect,” which happens when sunlight is refracted in the Moon’s shadow, and a deep red hue falls over the Moon. A Lunar Eclipse is a particularly strong type of energy – it motivates you to release and improve your overall stress levels coming from important projects/deadlines. Use this to finish some projects, as good things are sure to come from the effort you put in!

@aspensuniverse

march will be a busy busy month astrologically speaking, we have a venus retrograde, a mercury retrograde, and eclipse season, all happening in one month’s time. these events are going to encourage us collectively to LET GO of control so that we can sink into the timeline that is most favorable for us, the one that we are being intuitively guided to. the venus retrograde begins at 11° aries on March 1st, 2025 at 4:36 pm PST // 7:36 pm EST and will end on April 13th, 2025, it will retrograde back to 24° pisces. Mercury retrograde will begin at 10° aries on March 15th, 2025 at 8:46 am PST // 11:46 am EST and will end on April 7th, 2025 at 26° pisces. eclipse season begins March 14th, 2025 with a lunar eclipse and full moon in virgo and ends March 29th, 2025 with a solar eclipse and new moon in aries, which will be the final eclipse for the aries-libra axis. needless to say, March is going to be a big month of change, review, and getting back in touch with our intuitive bodies. considering there will be so many contacts to the north node, March may also facilitate some experiences that feel quite destined, as if they were meant to happen. i cannot even encapsulate all of the magic and transformation that march has to offer! if you have questions about march’s astrology, feel free to leave them in the comments, there’s lots to discuss. #eclipse #eclipseseason #marchastrology #march #eclipses #aries #pisces #virgo #northnode #southnode #venus #venusretrograde #mercury #mercuryretrograde #transformation #review #exes #fate #destiny #soulties

Secondly, Mercury will join Venus in an Aries retrograde starting March 14th! Mercury retrogrades have been sensationalized on the internet as a time of extreme uncertainty and instability, and while there may be some truth to that, there really is no need to fear it. My best advice is to refrain from making any huge decisions, and practice self-care that works best for your anxiety. There may be increased conflict in your romantic relationship at this time, because the retrograde can bring out some irritability and angst, but again, there’s no need to fear that.

Mercury will then shift into a Picses retrograde starting on the 29th. During this time, multiple opportunities may be coming your way, but don’t let it burn you out, be as open to the experiences as you can, and trust your intuition to guide you in the right direction! The retrograde concludes on April 6th, so hold out until then!

Also on the 29th – and our last major March event – is a partial solar eclipse in Aries! Please make sure to wear protective eclipse glasses when viewing this, a reminder that your sunglasses will not be enough!! This is a very powerful time in March, and it may bring our inner most desires to the forefront of our minds. With all of these planets in retrograde, take the initiative to release what is no longer serving you (especially in the past), and take action in your life thoughtfully and intentionally!

April

Wow! That was a lot! But it’s finally Springtime (just about)! April begins with a Full “Pink” Moon in Libra on the 13th. Sadly, the Pink Moon does not get its name because it turns Pink, but it’s actually named after the springtime wildflowers that begin to bloom around April! Still, I wish the moon did turn Pink, sigh.

If life has been feeling chaotic – and it most likely will due to the retrogrades – the Pink Moon reminds you to relax, invite vulnerability and creative expression into your life. It symbolizes the birth and re-blooming of the very flowers it’s named after, hard times are most often followed by opportunities for growth! Move forward with grace to flourish!

The New Moon falls on the 27th, and falls into Taurus – this is often called the “Flower Moon.” Lots of flower themes in April! The moon allows opportunities to improve stability and security, most often within your emotional life, and your stress levels. This month, just remember to breathe!

May

Our first big Meteor Shower of the year happens in May! Specifically, the Eta Aquariid Shower, and it will peak on May 5-6th, possibly showing up to 50 meteors per hour! This is an annual May event, and is caused by Earth passing through the debris trail of Halley’s Comet, how cool!!

The Full Moon in Scorpio reigns down on us on May 12th, and can be a super intense time for a lot of signs – it certainly is for me! You may feel more impassioned and connected to your emotions, use this energy for inner transformation! I always recommend shadow work during a Scorpio Full Moon, in order to bring things that need to be worked on towards the forefront (or “the light”).

Lastly, the Gemini New Moon on the 26th of May is a fantastic time to take action with any ideas or plans you’re passionate about! It’s important to stay flexible while taking this initiative in your life – be open to opportunity, but do something fulfilling, something you’re creatively passionate about! Personally, I must begin real-world job applications for my upcoming graduation, and really solidify any creative projects for my portfolio. Yay! Adult life!

June

Thankfully, the Full Moon in Sagittarius on the 11th of June may give you the space to focus on optimism and positivity, and not taking things as seriously! Sagittarius as a sign has a lot to do with purpose and beliefs, so you may feel more passionately about the beliefs that align with your overall purpose and personhood, and may feel compelled to remove any blocks that are holding you back!

The New Moon in Cancer follows on the 25th, and may cause you to feel more motivated by emotion, and strengthen relationships with your loved ones to allow more security in your life! The start of Summer is usually coupled with gratitude and passion for your loved ones – whether that be platonic or romantic!

July

On the 10th, a Capricorn Full Moon emphasizes achievement and success in your career, and overall structural life. If you’ve been feeling set back, unmotivated, or like you’re falling behind, take this time to re-adjust your plans and re-align with your goals! It’s okay if something isn’t working, or if you need to change something up – I usually do this with a gratitude journal in order to see what parts of my life I’m getting the most fulfillment out of!

Our second Mercury Retrograde of the year starts on the 17th and lasts about another month – this one falls into Leo. Make sure you’re communicating clearly and effectively with your loved ones, and try not to become too self-focused with selfishness or defensiveness. If a lot of your plants are in Leo, this might be a time of flux for you (if definitely will be for me)!

Our New Moon also falls into Leo on the 24th, which is all about opportunities and taking the time to reconnect – whether it be with an old hobby, an old flame, an old friend, or with your inner child/teen. Remind yourself to have fun with this connecting journey, but try not to make any rash decisions around love (as this is also during a retrograde)!

August

August is yet another big month, first beginning with the Full Aquarius Moon on the 9th – this will foster a period of freedom, progress and independence. It’s easy to feel creatively blocked, but don’t give up hope! Spend this time watering your relationship with your friends, and your creative endeavors; express yourself authentically and embrace your growth! You may also feel more motivated to advocate or take political action, as Aquarius are ruled by social justice!

Occurring on August 12th, Venus and Jupiter will shine as the two brightest planets in the sky – this is called a conjunction, and will be visible without a telescope! It’ll be visible before sunrise, so be sure to wake up real early! Shortly after the conjunction is the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower, where you may be able to see up to 100 shooting stars per hour! I hate waking up early, but this will be totally worth it!!

The day after my birthday (the 23rd) highlights the New Moon in Virgo – which is an excellent time to reorganize, start new projects, and make improvements in your daily life. Since Virgo is the “ruler” of work, this could be a great time to hone in on your work-life balance and really perfect your craft.

September

September is another interesting month, with many events happening on a same-day basis!! I love space!

For example, the 7th of September brings us a Pisces Full Moon and another Total Lunar Eclipse! This is a great day for letting go and releasing, reflecting on the past, and encouraging healing spiritually and intuitively. It can also be a great time to lean into romance and indulge in romantic fantasies – this could also be seen from a self-love perspective, indulge in yourself.

On the 21st (night of September), a partial solar eclipse in Virgo marks new beginnings and the ability to start fresh with routines and habits! Habits are all about small improvements, so be sure to start with things that seem low-maintenance and exciting! Occurring on the same day is a Saturn opposition, where Saturn will shine brightly in the sky throughout the night, and will be completely visible to the naked eye! You should even be able to see its rings, so exciting! Is it obvious yet that I love space?

October

Our Full Moon reaches its peak in Aries on the 7th, and encourages ambition and fearlessness (fire signs, am I right?). This is the first Super Moon of the year (which occurs when the Moon is near its closest point to Earth) and is actually the first of three consecutive Super Moons this year! This is called the “Harvest Moon” due to its closeness to the September equinox, and you may take action to finish something big to allow for more abundance in your life. I love Super Moons, I’m so excited!

Also occurring on the 7th is the Draconids Meteor Shower, which is a minor meteor shower, but it’s still of note! Meteor Showers are normally representative of hope and connection to the universe, especially when you’re observing it so closely in the dark!

Lastly, the Libra New Moon occurs on the 21st, and can be a great time to form new connections and partnerships, which may solidify positivity and balance in these connections!

November

November brings us yet another meteor shower, but 2025 is a special “Taurid Swarm” year – which is a period of increased activity in a specific meteor shower. The swarm is usually only seen every 3-7 years, and is usually categorized by bright meteors and fireballs shooting across the sky! Stay up after midnight on the 3rd and look around for the constellation of Taurus, where you should see plenty of activity!

Staying on our Taurus theme, the Full Moon (also called the “Beaver Moon”) is most closely associated with money, security, and pleasure. Take this time to relax and indulge in your own personal pleasures, especially if they align with your confidence, inner peace, and stability.

Our last Mercury retrograde of the year will start on the 9th and end towards the end of the month, shifting between Sagittarius and Scorpio. This is our last period of flux this year, the Sagittarius period may bring self-worth to the forefront, and the Scorpio period may make certain emotional issues bigger than they are. This might be a strong one since it’s so connected to self-worth and physical presentation, remember, just take this time to ground yourself!

A Scorpio new Moon on the 20th can cause a sense of empowerment and control in your life, especially around certain life transformations – take the initiative, do your research, and trust yourself. This happens during the retrograde, so it may build some confidence and reassurance in yourself.

December

Our last month! A Full Moon in Gemini has associations with communications and friendships, and you may feel the spontaneous urge to share what you’re feeling more openly with those around you. On December 4th, don’t fight this, it’s healthy communication, allow your heart and mind to merge! As a Gemini Moon, this is usually a very emotional time for me, and I allow it to take a hold of me, especially at the very end of the year! This is also a Super Moon!

A Geminid Meteor Shower will be at its peak on December 13th-14th, and is usually the “most reliable” meteor shower sight-wise, you just might have to stay up until 2am!

And finally, a New Moon in Sagittarius is our final New Moon of the year, and it tends to increase feelings around optimism and new experiences. Be open to everything coming your way, especially opportunities to explore yourself and those around you!
