To get inspo and ideas to send to your besties keep reading!
Sip & Paint Girls Night
Not going out on the town does not have to mean any fun or cute beverages involved. Wine and your best friends pair well, especially when you add some paint, brushes, canvas, and even candles. In some cities, you can go to an art studio and pay for a sip and paint experience, but I think it is even more fun to bring to someone’s place. You do not have to be an artist to have fun with this idea, plus a glass of wine can even bring out your creative side. As seen on TikTok people paint on canvas, wine glasses, and candles. You could even pick a theme and go from there like Valentine’s Day. If painting on candles sounds fun to you, you can also buy a candle wax painting pen to make the process easier. Gathering supplies from a craft store and some treats to snack on requires little effort but will create a fun night at home with your friends.
Bring A Board Night
A lot of us like to be healthy during the week, hit the gym, and make dinner at home so we can enjoy the weekend and eat and drink whatever we enjoy. That is my attitude, especially for a Friday or Saturday hanging with my girlfriends because we are foodies. For this idea no one has to be the best chef or baker out there that is why this idea is for everyone! Fun food charcuterie board night is a great idea that will ensure no one is hungry with your friends at home. It starts with a theme for the night, for example, Mexican food, sweet and savory, fast food, or whatever you guys like. Then each person in the group is responsible for buying and curating a board to bring to the gathering. Cute presentation and utensils are a plus! Since this is a lowkey night in, matching pajamas make the experience even cuter. Bring your own board (BYOB) is a fun way for people can share their favorite foods and treats and stay in while having fun.
PowerPoint Night
Many people have busy schedules and can rarely get the group together on the weekends, sometimes only for holidays or special events. This means that when it is time to catch up there is a lot of new stuff to update your friends on or talk about, what better way to do that than a cute PowerPoint presentation? This is not your typical formal presentation you had to give in school that you were dreading, this is a crazy and funny topic you and your friends can laugh about during your night at home. Topics like group trip ideas, dating life, most humbling moments, or random things like who would survive the longest on a deserted island. Almost everyone is familiar with PowerPoint and you could even switch it up with Google Slides or Canva for a cuter look to stream onto the TV. Be ready to get entertained and laugh because this idea is fun and will bring you guys together and learn more about each other. This is a unique and creative way to catch up and while everyone is presenting you can get some popcorn and candy and enjoy the show, even record it for the memories!
Caviar & Comfies
If the ideas above sounded fun to you but maybe too relaxed or casual for you, then this idea will be your cup of tea. Recently caviar and champagne have been trending all over social media being the new boujee night- in idea. People are discovering good and more affordable caviar at grocery stores like Whole Foods to bring this idea to life so why night make a night of it at home? Caviar and champagne are the main ingredients to this activity plus the attire of comfy and classy pajamas ( preferably silk). This aesthetic night can start with a cute invitation made on Canva with the details, what to wear and bring etc. Then the host can choose to make the space classy with silk table runners, tall white candles, and champagne towers. Next is the fun part which is finding unique food items to pair with the caviar. Salty snacks have been proven to be a hot pairing to caviar so anything from salt & vinegar chips, fried chicken, and even hashbrowns. Then some creme fraiche to pair under the caviar which can be found at most grocery stores. Last is your choice of champagne and if that is not your vibe it is okay a sparking juice is just perfect for the night. Everyone can dress appropriately and pitch in to make this chic and fancy night come to life.
Finding what to do with friends at home does not have to be difficult or perfect to have a fun night in instead of going out. Activities that channel people’s creativity and bring out the laughs are always a hit. Everyone has their own idea of an exciting weekend and these are some plans that can make it possible. From painting, charcuterie boards, PowerPoint updates, and caviar you are pretty much guaranteed a fun time with your friends.
