Happy Halloween! Here Are The Best Recipes For Halloween Cocktails
Now that we’ve figured out what to do this Halloween, we’re going to need some cocktail recipes. Whether you’re throwing a costume party for your friend group, handing out candy in the driveway, or cuddling on the couch watching Hocus Pocus, you’ll need something spooky to sip on. Here are the best recipes for Halloween cocktails!
Witches Brew
My favorite Halloween cocktails are bright green, much like a witches brew would be. You don’t even need a cauldron for this one, but if you have one, pour in the ingredients, get some dried ice, and get some gummy eyeballs and fingers for decor. If you’re just making one or two, plop an eyeball (or cherries) it in and decorate the rim of your glass with black or purple sprinkles.
Blood Bath
This is a great option if you’re throwing a party. Make a jungle juice concoction, pour it in a packing tub or storage bin, and paint some bloody handprints on the side of it. Making just a few? Throw in some vampire fangs, and drizzle some strawberry (or raspberry) syrup on the edges and you’ll have a drink even Dracula himself would kill for.
Purple Haze
Looking for a Halloween color to match your decor? A purple haze is perfect! Recipes vary but you can get this purple hue in a myriad of different ways, like using grape-flavored liqueur, mixing blackberries and blood orange, or even mixing pomegranate and pineapple. Whatever flavor palette is your favorite, mix it up and create the purple drink of your dreams. Spooky scary!
Scooby Snack
This classic bar favorite is perfect for Halloween. This recipe is delicious as a full-sized cocktail or as a shot (snack size haha). This melon-flavored cocktail is an eerie ghostly green! If you’re dressing up as the Scooby-Doo gang, you can keep your party theme going all the way through the drinks. This option is also awesome because it doesn’t just look amazing, it also tastes amazing!
Pumpkin Cocktail
Next up in the Halloween color palette is a bright orange cocktail. Preferably, I wouldn’t want it to actually be pumpkin-flavored, but more of a bright orange pumpkin color. This is also a really versatile cocktail idea because it can be executed in so many different ways, and with so many different flavor palettes. For flavors, you can go with orange soda as a mixer, orange juice, pineapple juice or so many other options. As long as it’s orange, it’ll scream Halloween. Add a spider ring dangling off the glass, decorate the clear solo cup (or glass) with a jack-o-lantern face, or drop in some pumpkin-shaped candy corns.
Apple Cider
Nothing says fall like an apple cider based cocktail. Now is the perfect time to sip some some cider on the porch, or while cuddled up on the couch watching a spooky movie. For a cider based drink, you can cut up some apples and use cinnamon sticks as stirrer. While this is not as spooky as some of the other options, it has major fall and cozy vibes. This can also be very versatile and made in many different ways. You can buy a sparkling cider, mix in some champagne into apple juice, or make your own cider in preparation. You can use bourbon, fireball, champagne or another alcohol, just depending on what you’re wanting! Here are a few examples:
