Q: Tell us your story! Where did you begin and how did you reach the caliber you’re currently at?

A: I’ve played piano my whole life but never really got into singing until going into freshman year of college. I had a friend who made music in high school and I remember asking her how she wrote a song. She told me her method and I kept it in the back of my mind throughout high school until the summer going into college. My college started later than my friends, so I was home alone, my girlfriend and I had broken up, and I was feeling pretty lost. For whatever reason I sat down at the piano and decided to write a song. About an hour later I had a song that I recorded on voice memos. I went to work that night at this restaurant I had worked at that summer. At work I was feeling bold, and I sent the voice memo in a group chat to my parents. They had never heard me sing before that moment. I felt too vulnerable singing to anyone. At the time, my parents weren’t very good with technology and a few hours later my mom responded, “Who is this artist? Dad and I love this song.” They didn’t know it was me. That was the moment I started writing songs and singing and for the past 6 years I haven’t stopped.
I graduated college last year, and I promised myself six months to fully try music or else I knew I’d regret it for the rest of my life. It was that summer that I made a TikTok and started getting serious about the posts I was making. That’s when managers, small labels, big labels, attorneys, and everything in between started reaching out. I signed with a small label in February and have been making music full time since. I believe life is pointless if you’re not doing what you love so that’s why I’m here doing it.
Q: What makes you love what you do? How long have you been making music? Would you call it your passion?

A: I love music because it’s an outlet for me to express strong feelings I’m having in a very specific and special way. Through writing, singing, and the overall creation of a song I’m able to release or embrace that strong feeling in a way that isn’t verbal or physical but rather very wholesome. Music is a passion that has grown overtime for me. I wasn’t saying I wanted to be an artist when I was little but it was more something that I slowly discovered and slowly fell in love with. I’ve been making original songs for about 6 years now and, as mentioned above, I’ve been playing piano for the past 15 years.
Q: What are some accomplishments or milestones you’ve reached lately?

A: I recently had the song I just released last month titled, “The Long Way,” pass a million Spotify streams in a month! That was a pretty exciting first and hopefully the first of many!
Q: Tell us about “Company”!!
View this post on Instagram
A: “Company” is a song I wrote in January of this year when I was feeling pretty lonely. Covid was very much still going on and there were no vaccines yet. My friends and I hadn’t seen each other in a while and I was feeling pretty frustrated. On top of this, I hadn’t written a song in months which was adding to my frustration. But one day I came up with that piano riff you hear in “Company,” went for a walk, started mumbling melodies and then all of the sudden the chorus came. Before I knew it I had a song that subconsciously explained how I was feeling. I love my friends, I love being with other people and spending time with others, and especially during last winter, I missed it more than ever. Alone it feels strange, life is better with some company.
Q: Do you have any advice for someone who is starting out in the music industry?

A: I’m definitely still learning and don’t have the answers, but I would say you have to just put yourself out there and really trust yourself. That includes utilizing social media, realizing your level of talent and always working to make it better, and just staying true to who you are. It’s hard and everyone struggles with it but it all starts with you. It’s all a bet on yourself.
Q: What do you want our readers to know about you and your music?
View this post on Instagram
A: I’m a pretty optimistic person and in making the songs that will be coming out over the next few months, I had one vision in mind. That vision was to make music that felt like a beautiful day, at an amazing music festival with your best friends. Jumping around to songs that you love that make you feel young, and together, and part of something bigger than yourself. Most importantly, at its core, I want this music to make the listener feel like they’re not alone. There’s a certain magic to that feeling that I think everyone in this world should feel. That’s how I think and dream and that’s how I want my music to feel.
Q: Anything else you would like to add?

A: Hm, I love a good oat milk latte. I love going on hikes and spending time outside with my friends and family. And I’m so excited for you to hear my new songs!
