Q: Tell us your story! Where did you begin and how did you reach the caliber you’re currently at?

A: Hello!! If we’re going all the way back, I think my first steady gig was in my grandma’s room singing along to Disney movies with the door shut, but in retrospect, I’d say it was a pretty natural progression toward a life as an artist that was fueled by curiosity and a desire to create. I’ve had some incredible mentors and teachers along the way and I continue to be immensely inspired by other artists, many of whom I’m proud to say are my friends. Between Vancouver, Montreal and New York City, I’ve been gifted by a life lived in inspiration. I guess you could say that I started as a student and I am still learning. I love music and, ultimately, I think it’s that passion that continues to carry me.
Q: What makes you love what you do? How long have you been making music? Would you call it your passion?

A: I would absolutely call music a passion of mine and it has been a lifelong relationship in many respects. I think I started making music seriously when I was finishing up university. From there it has taken a few different shapes and feels, and I’m excited about the direction I find myself heading in. One of the things that make me love what I do is that it is a limitless source of expression and creativity, one that can grow and change with me, and it has made for an exciting life filled with interesting people.
Q: What are some accomplishments or milestones you’ve reached lately?

A: I am ending this year by releasing a record! The first one I’ve released since my EP in 2017 and I’m freaking proud of that. Most of the music was dropped as singles but the record is a complete thought and artistically it feels really good to put that into the world.
Q: Tell us about “My Muse”!!

A: “My Muse” is the last single I’m dropping before the record comes out on December 7th and it is my sexy love song to my muse: to music. I listen for her in my waking hours, I call for her to bandage my bumps and bruises, I sing to her of all the stories I live and when she comes to me I am swept up in the rapture of all that she is. So this is my song to her.
The track was produced by Julian “J3PO” Pollack, mixed by John Young and mastered by Hector Vega at Becker Mastering.
Q: Do you have any advice for someone who is starting out in the music industry?
A: I will echo the advice given to me: Keep going.
Q: What do you want our readers to know about you and your music?
A: These songs are my stories. This music is a reflection of my life and this next record is, in many ways, a meditation on love as I’ve known and experienced it. The record is called “Windborne” which means to be carried by the wind and that is how much of this last decade has felt: in flight. I hope you can feel the love in it and perhaps see some of yourself in the music.
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
