The rosette trend is making a huge comeback this summer. Florals always come back in style in the spring and summer, so it’s no wonder rosettes are making waves this year. Rosettes were also popular in the 90s and early 2000s, with icons like Carrie Bradshaw making a statement in the flower embellishments. Just like so many other trends tend to resurface, rosettes are one of the biggest trends right now. People are proving that the rosette can be styled with almost anything from clothing to accessories. Let’s look at some rosette aesthetic outfit ideas that will add something extra to any of your summer looks.
Rosette aesthetic tops are one of the more trendy ways of incorporating floral applique in an outfit. I love the simplicity of having a basic top with 3d rosettes, it gives a flare of femininity while still being able to dress it up or down depending on our style. You can wear a higher-neck top with a rosette on the shoulder or a top with rosettes and cascading ruffles, which is another trending clothing style at the moment. There are so many options for what style of shirt you want to wear.
Rosette dresses are another way to easily include 3d flowers into your outfit. These dresses scream summer, and I think it’s so easy to look put together. You could wear these dresses on a date and be very romantic, or to a party or club and be the star of the show.
Keeping in theme with the summer, I’ve also been seeing some rosette swimwear. The floral-decorated swimsuits are something cute to wear for a photo op in the sun or a fun vacation look. It’s a playful way to add in a rosette, and in the summer you can never have too many swimsuits!
Large Floral Applique
If you want to make a statement this summer and are feeling the rosette trend, be bold in a large applique top or dress. I love the way the fabric can turn into stunning 3d flowers. With these outfits, your rosette tops will turn heads. They are great for a summer dinner party or date and give a flirty and fun vibe to your overall outfit.
Rosette chokers have been what I have seen the most of from this trend. They are easy to style with any outfit. I’ve mostly been seeing classic black and white chokers, but you really can buy them in any color to match your outfit or add a pop of color to a more basic ensemble. The necklaces can be tied on with string or you can go for the thicker ribbon choker with a clasp.
This trend has taken the summer by storm, so if you want to dip your toes in regarding wearing rosettes but don’t want something super out there, try some of these accessories instead. Adding rosette pins to your clothing is a cute way to spice it up. The same goes for hair clips, which would be super pretty with an updo hairstyle. I like how rosette heels still pay homage to the trend, but it’s not over the top or in your face. These are all good options for someone who’s more of an accessories person.
An honorable mention goes to this super cute and easy hack for wearing a rosette choker. All you need is a scarf for this. Just by folding it in half, tying it and twisting it around itself, you can create your 3d flower necklace. Scarfs are easy to find, and come in so many colors and patterns, so if you try this hack then you can create unique chokers! It can be tricky to make sure you are twisting it right, so follow the video for what the proper steps look like. If you don’t already have scarves, here are some great ones for you to shop.
