The Fast and Furious franchise has been around for over two decades now and is well-known all across the globe. The first movie of the series, Fast and Furious was released in 2001, and by 2003 the second movie, 2 Fast 2 Furious, was released. What made the Fast and Furious series so compelling was its exploration of the street racing scene and the addictive adrenaline of its racing and action sequences.

There are so many iconic moments and characters within the franchise, but one of the most popular characters amongst women is Suki. The actress who made Suki’s role stand out so much was none other than Devon Aoki, one of the most famous models of the 90s and 2000s. She made her runway debut in 1997 at only 15, and by 1998 she was named as the face of Versace. She has walked in countless fashion shows for some of the most famous high fashion brands and has done many advertising campaigns as well. Aoki made her crossover into acting in the 2000s with 2 Fast 2 Furious as one of the first few films she starred in. Later, in 2004, she starred in D.E.B.S., an iconic girl-centered spy film.

Although Suki’s character only made one appearance in the entire franchise, she still managed to steal the spotlight in 2 Fast 2 Furious. What made her stand out the most was her iconic, custom pink car and her memorable fashion throughout the film. Seeing as Halloween is right around the corner, if you’d like to honor the fashionable Suki, we’re going to go through each of her most iconic outfits and create a guide on how to recreate them. Here are how to create your own Suki Fast and Furious costumes and outfits.

Outfit #1

Undoubtedly the most iconic outfit from Suki’s wardrobe, this look is the most recreated and loved one from the film. Featuring two layered crop tops, one that is a deep maroon shade with more pink undertones underneath a blue top with a more purple tinge. While those are the original colors Suki wears, many people recreating this outfit have opted for either similar shades or a more pink look over all.

The link I’ve provided for the red t-shirt also features a variety of other color options so you can decide how you personally want to adapt Suki’s color palette.

It might be a little hard to find pants identical to the ones Suki’s wearing, however, there is still hope. You could DIY them by buying a pair of faux leather pants and cutting them up. The top half of the pants serve as a cover layered over denim shorts, and the bottom half of the jeans are connected to the top with straps. You could easily achieve this by leaving a small strip on the sides connected to the top and bottom half. In order to get the laced-up look on the sides of the pants, you can cut slits into the sides of the pants and sew the laces in yourself. You can also take up your own artistic liberty and get creative with how you want to recreate the paint splotches on Suki’s pants.

Outfit #2

While on the more simple side, this outfit still maintains the same flair that gives it Suki’s signature style. Rocking a tank top with the number 8 and laced-up pink pants, this outfit still has the ability to stun. If you want to DIY your t-shirt to get the number on her tank top, you can opt to either paint it on or use an iron-on patch like the one below. Regardless of which option you choose, you will still likely have to paint the pink square as the background behind the number.

Outfit #3

The last outfit of Suki’s you could recreate for Halloween is this cute skirt and top combo. Her tank top here is a simple crop top with buttons paired with a short, plaid mini-skirt. The outfit is also accessorized just perfectly with a black belt and lots of silver jewelry. Suki seems to be a silver girl, but if you’re not one, that’s okay. The outfit would look just as beautifully paired with your favorite gold jewelry.

I think what people love the most about Suki and her character is her unapologetic femininity through her fashion. Her fashion choices just exude unabashed confidence and boldness. They’re feminine, unique and stylish all while accentuating her personality perfectly. These Suki Fast and Furious costumes and outfits are perfect for that, whether you want to be her for Halloween or want to get some style inspiration for your own wardrobe.
