Q: Tell us your story! Where did you begin and how did you reach the caliber you’re currently at?

A: Hi! I’m Juliet Piper, and I’m a lifelong artist who helps fellow creatives ignite their inner confidence and build their artistic legacies. I’m here to help you *finally* dust off your deepest artistic dreams (you know, the ones that have been sitting on the shelf for WAY too long) and show you exactly how to turn those dreams into your sparkling reality! I was born in Los Angeles (a true valley girl) and raised by a musical family that taught me everything I know about living a creative life. I’m a composer for Sesame Street, my songs have been placed on prime time HBO, Netflix, and MTV shows, and I have been featured in Rolling Stone, Free People, Earmilk, and Music Connection Magazine. My music has also been featured on major radio stations worldwide. When I’m not writing songs or performing on stage, my greatest joy is teaching and mentoring. To date, I’ve worked with over 6000 happy students and clients and celebrated so many breakthroughs and success stories!

Becoming an artist and a mentor all happened truly by following my heart and taking one inspired baby step at a time. I’ve always trusted my intuition and given myself permission to fumble and fail along the way. There’s still so much more I want to do!

Q: What makes you love what you do? How long have you been making music? Would you call it your passion?

A: I remember writing songs in a car seat! The obsession definitely became full-time around age seven, though. All I wanted to do was come home from school, write songs, and put on shows in the living room. And that passion has never faded. Beyond writing, I love producing music videos and planning live performances that add an element of magic. In many ways, it still feels the same today as it did when I was a little girl. It’s exciting and full of possibilities.

Q: What are some accomplishments or milestones you’ve reached lately?

A: My greatest accomplishment lately is my book! In 2023, I wrote and released Courageously Creative, the essential guide for creatives to live their wildest artistic dreams. I also just had a song I wrote get placed on one of my fave Netflix shows, Selling Sunset, and I performed on the iconic Los Angeles Candy Cane Lane this past Christmas, which was SO fun! We brought epic bubble machines and everything!

Q: Tell us more about your book!

A: I like to think of Courageously Creative as a potent mindset elixir. Essentially, it’s a lifetime of creative expression mixed with powerful generational lessons to help you magnify your inner magic and MAKE YOUR ART. There are transformative chapters about mindset, courage, and resilience as well as powerful magical creative rituals with step-by-step instructions!

I wanted people to write all over this book, so I made sure to include breakthrough-inspiring journal prompts with spaces to write and reflect. The response the book has received has blown me away. I love that it’s such a go-to resource for creatives!

Q: Do you have any advice for someone who is starting music?

A: Let yourself write tons of bad songs! Make messes! Ditch perfection! Try not to compare your experience to anyone else’s. You are called to music for a reason. Trust yourself, and trust your journey. (And have lots of fun – that’s kind of the whole point!)

Q: What do you want our readers to know about you and your music?

A: My albums and EPs hold such a special place in my heart. If you’re not sure where to start, listen to “Born in a Different Time,” “Follow the Butterflies,” “Good Love,” or “Heaven Looks a Lot Like You.” If cute/folksy is more your thing, check out my song “We Loved.” My whole collection is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most other major platforms.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?

A: If you’re reading this – Your art matters. You are magic. And I believe in you! Come hang out with me on social media for endless fun & inspo!
