Tell us your story! Where did you begin and how did you reach the caliber you’re currently at?

I’ve always possessed a love for music and grew up singing, but really discovered my love of music when I started taking voice lessons and learning guitar around age 10. I started writing songs when I was 12, and discovered my passion for songwriting and performing. After working a few different jobs in the food industry, I quit my job as a barista junior year of high school and started gigging around my hometown – Long Island, NY – full time in addition to my studies, and that is what I also do now! I am currently based in Nashville, TN studying songwriting and music business at Belmont University, playing shows and releasing music, working to make this dream of supporting myself as an artist through music real 🙂

What makes you love what you do? How long have you been making music? Would you call it your passion?

I love being able to use music as an expression of emotions, I love when I discover a song or write something that conveys exactly how I feel in a more meaningful and poetic way. I’ve been making music since early high school, and I can’t imagine never not doing anything else 🙂

What are some accomplishments or milestones you’ve reached lately?

2023 was an awesome year for me. I opened for  indie-rock band Arcy Drive at Bowery Ballroom NYC in March of 2023, and headlined The End here in Nashville in September. In November I released my latest single, “can’t end what never was.” I had the opportunity to play some amazing shows, meet some incredible people, and begin working with new friends/artists/producers. I can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store.

Tell us about “can’t end what never was”!

I wrote “can’t end what never was” my freshman year of college. It’s a song about the end of an unestablished relationship – aka a situationship. Even when you never end up dating, you still mourn the loss of what never was – or the potential of what could’ve been with that person. The song is an angsty commentary on the struggles of getting over someone.

Do you have any advice for someone who is starting music?

Write as often as you can, always practice your instrument – being able to accompany yourself on an instrument will help you greatly. And know that comparison is the thief of joy!! Know you are special and have something to deliver to the world, despite what everyone around you appears to be doing, any success they’re having, be joyful and excited for them. It is natural to envy others, but know what is meant to be will come to you when the time is right, I am a firm believer in that.

What do you want our readers to know about you and your music?

If you’re a fan of folk-pop and indie-rock/pop music then you may enjoy mine! Some other fun lil things about me is I absolutely adore book stores, sushi, cozy sweaters, Little Women, yoga, and weenie dogs lol. If you’re a fan of any of the following then we are going to be friends.
