Oh baby, baby! If you don’t know the iconic “Hit Me Baby One More Time” song, you lie to yourselves! Britney Spears has become an iconic pop superstar that dominated the late 1990s all the way to the 2010s! With her iconic hits like “You Drive Me Crazy,” “I’m A Slave 4 U,” “Toxic,” “Gimmie More,” and “Till the World Ends,” the list is endless. She has inspired a new generation of pop divas like Tate McRae, Addison Rae, Billie Eilish, Charlie XCX, and Selena Gomez. So, there is no doubt that Ms. Spears deserves a biopic to highlight her insanely successful musical career. But you can put so many moments in a featured film; which should be highlighted? Let’s find out which moments to add in Britney’s biopic!

Britney’s Biopic, Let’s Start At The Beginning
Britney Spears started on the Mickey Mouse Club in 1989, with today’s stars like Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling. The Mickey Mouse Club was a variety show that featured child actors acting out skits and performing musical numbers from popular music. Because of her cool dancing abilities and charisma, Spears became a fan favorite amongst the cast. I would love to see a few scenes of young Britney Spears navigating the sets of the Mickey Mouse Club and her headspace being in the environment. Also, she interacted with Timberlake, Aguilera, and Gosling throughout the show, so some cameos of them as children! More importantly, I would love to see Britney training her singing and dancing abilities with a few obstacles along the way. Since she started on Disney, seeing how she transitioned into the iconic school girl for Baby, One More Time in 1999 would be cool!
Hit Me Baby One More Time!
I can see the film transition. Britney is by the mirror, fixing her pigtail braids and touching up her lipstick. She moves her head from side to side to check her blush and grabs a No.2 pencil. She starts to tap her Mary Jane shoe on the floor. The camera shows only her smirk in the mirror. Honestly, call me a movie director! There cannot be a Britney Spears biopic without her world-famous introduction to pop music!
Baby One More Time became an instant hit with teenagers and young adults in the late 1990s! Teenagers mimicked Britney’s dancing style with the schoolgirl outfit and pink ribbons. From the jump, everyone knew that Britney was here to stay! In the biopic, I would love to see Britney’s preparation for the song and music video. In an interview with Billboard, Spears mentioned how she worked with Max Martin (one of the most iconic pop producers ever) to create her debut single. She also said that she put her twists into the song for about 10 days in Sweden with Martin. They made history together!
Also, Britney mentioned in the interview that she wanted the song to growl but to have a fun, chill vibe. I want to see in the biopic Spears’ attempts to turn the song into what it is today. Because it wasn’t just a single session and then off to the publisher, she took her time to craft her own style into it. Seeing the masterminds behind this track at work would be so exciting!
Now, for the music video, Britney was the one who wanted the setting to be at a school and to wear a schoolgirl outfit so she would be more relatable to fans! Genius work! After the video was shot and ready for premiere, Spears’ career would go uphill from there!
VMA 2001: Y’all Know This One
The scene is perfect! I can envision a first-person POV from Britney’s perspective when she is on the stage and hears the crowd’s cheers. The bass strums while the enclosure turns around. Britney’s focus shifts from the ground to the audience when she opens the door. Are you a Britney fan if you haven’t seen this ICONIC performance?!
Britney’s jungle rendition of “I’m A Slave 4 U” is a moment in pop history that should be plastered in everyone’s minds. Her movement and sultry vibe from her eyes captivate you from the moment the music starts. The biopic is REQUIRED to show this moment because it was a defining moment in Britney’s image. The schoolgirl image was now gone, and the woman is now here! If anything, the snake was a paid actor. Her hair was a paid actor. The stage was a paid actor. The stars aligned that night!
VMA 2007: The Gimmie More Show
Now, 2007 was a tough year for Britney. The universe was not on her side from the shaved incident to this performance. The biopic should tread carefully with this era since it shows mental decline. This performance became memorable because of Britney’s fight to perform. It became even more memorable when TV shows like iCarly would parody Britney’s state and performance.
But this performance showed Britney’s courage to perform despite everything that was happening. Additionally, it showed that the Britney before everything that happened in the mid-2000s is still in there. This was a defining moment. I truly wish the biopic would feature Britney’s emotions and perspective rather than the media’s perception of her. The performance is still a slay!
VMA 2016: Glory Comeback
2016 was Britney’s comeback year with her brand-new album, “Glory”! I can envision the same sequence from the VMA 2001’s first-person POV, and it switches back and forth. Then, I can see the actress who plays Britney inhale and exhale and murmur to herself, “It’s Britney, bitch.” I know it may sound corny, but I love a good bookend! Britney showed the world that she is still moving and grooving! Her energy and charisma is still shining through as she dominates the stage.
I do believe that the biopic could end at this moment because it has an optimistic feeling. A sense of victory! Because after all of the obstacles she went through and still going through, she is still the incomparable Britney Spears!
