Summer is approaching us very quickly and I don’t know about you, but I am already mentally there. Planning my trips, outfits, and buying tickets for concerts is something I am so excited to do. The summer air just makes these experiences much more fun, plus not having the worry of school in session. We have seen many artists drop some good albums so far this year like Bad Bunny, Partynextdoor and Drake, so the question is now, who is on tour this summer? Concerts hit differently in the summer and can also be a good excuse to book a new travel destination. So I have got you covered with a guide to all things concerts this summer that you will not want to miss! Whether you’re road-tripping with friends or planning the perfect night out in your city, here are the must-see acts hitting the stage this summer.
Pop Music Tours
Depending on which genre is your favorite, Pop Music has definitely been taking over the charts in music, with artists like Taylor Swift ,Olivia Rodgrigo, and Beyonce having a huge impact on the major industry. Their music is not just for younger girls either, their audience has grown tremendously in the last couple of years.Beyonce has always been a music icon but the fact that she is still making music and killing the stage is great. So with this popularity they are taking their music to tour this summer. First, Fresh off the success of her Cowboy Carter release, Beyoncé is back with a tour that blends country, soul, and powerhouse vocals in a way only she can. Expect high fashion, flawless choreography, and the type of show that sparks social media meltdowns. Stops in New York, Chicago, and Atlanta are already sold out—but new dates keep popping up. Renaissance Act II Tour will for sure be one for the books. Next, Pop-punk princess Olivia Rodrigo is back with her sophomore tour, bringing all the fun, glitter, and scream-along anthems her fans love. Her intimate-yet-energetic shows are a perfect fit for outdoor amphitheaters and festival stages. Also a bonus: rising stars like Chappell Roan and Remi Wolf are opening on select dates. GUTS World Tour will definitely be seen all over social media and she’s even performing in Manchester and Dublin. The good news is these tours have setlists pretty much all over the country so it likely they will be in a city near you so I’d start looking at tickets now!
Hip-Hop & R&B Tours
I am personally a big fan of the Hip-Hop & R&B genre the most so I am excited about these upcoming tours, which I might have to buy a ticket to! First is SZA and her Deluxe SOS Tour which is with Kendrick Lamar. This is literally perfect if you are into both types of music because they are performing together. SZA continues to dominate with her SOS tour—an R&B dreamscape complete with floating stages, cinematic visuals, and emotional gut punches. New festival dates and solo shows are scheduled through August, making her one of the summer’s most sought-after tickets. The Grand National Tour is going to be iconic and they have sets all across the U.S, the UK, and even Paris! With these two performing together you will probably hear iconic songs like “All The Stars”, “Luther”, and “30 For 30”. Seeing these live would be epic so I think I will try to secure my ticket for their Phoenix performance. Although he is not technically Hip-Hop and R&B, but Reggaeton instead of Bad Bunny is someone I have to mention because his most recent album “DTMF” has taken over the charts and I can’t stop listening to it! He is going on tour but is in Puerto Rico to pay homage to his home city and culture. The Most Wanted Tour will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico starting in July. He is doing his residency there for 2025 so I can only imagine how many of his Puerto Rican fans will be selling out his concerts. Playing iconic songs like Dákiti, Monaco, and Dtmf would be so iconic to see live and he is definitely a great performer with a big stage presence. However, I might have to wait until he comes back to the states to see him. But who knows a trip to PR sounds like a great vacay too.
Festival Watch
If you’re a big music lover and looking to sample a bit of everything, festivals are your go-to. With a music festival you have the whole experience from the music, party, travel, food and drinks and fun outfits you can wear each day. It’s not just a one-day experience but rather a weekend or even week-long thing leading up to it. So Coachella and Lollapalooza are the way to go. This year Coachella has many great artists performing all types of music. From Clairo, GloRilla, Three 6 Mafia, The Marías, Green Day & Yeat. If you can make it to California and afford the experience, Coachella is something worth experiencing in your life for sure. If that’s not your vibe then Lollapalooza in Chicago will be the experience of the summer. They are bringing in everyone like Sabrina Carpenter, A$AP Rocky, Doechii, Tyler The Creator, and more! It is a weekend event but only their one-day tickets are left so secure yours asap!
So the bottom line is don’t sleep on summer 2025! So, who is on tour this summer? Just about everyone who matters. From nostalgic reunions to popular newcomers, this summer’s concert lineup offers something for every taste and vibe. Grab your tickets, pack your sunscreen, cute outfits, bring your friends and get ready to make memories that’ll last long after the shows! Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway to catch a major headliner or spontaneously grabbing tickets to a local festival, now is the time to make your summer soundtrack unforgettable. Keep an eye on tour announcements, sign up for presales, and don’t be afraid to hit that “buy” button—you’ll thank yourself when you’re dancing in the crowd.
