As the end of the year approaches, the temperature will drop and the air will get colder and drier. For most of us, this means that we will need to hydrate our skin and hair because of the changing weather. Whether you live in a humid or dry climate, the colder weather makes everyone feel like their skin is rough and cracking. It’s even worse if you work with your hands or are often using hot water to clean dishes, laundry or to shower. Today, we’ve rounded up the best products for hydrating skin and hair, and even a few products you might not have thought of.

Hydrating Hair Masks

For the hair and scalp, hydrating hair masks are perfect to have on hand! Try using one of these once a week for a deep conditioning treatment. You can usually work the product into clean damp hair and put a plastic cap or wrap a warm towel around your head for 20 minutes, then rinse it off. While it can feel amazing to hop in a steaming hot shower, try to use medium temperature water so you’re not making your scalp even drier than it needs to be. Then, when you use one of these, your scalp and hair will feel even more amazing.

Humidifiers

For those of us that live in low humidity climates, the cold months exaggerate the dryness of the air and really dehydrates our skin and even our nasal passages! Moisturizers are great, but having a bedside air humidifier is even better! Try one of these to humidify your personal space or your bedside for the best beauty sleep! Humidifiers can also help you sleep better during the colder months if that is an issue you often deal with.

E Oil Sticks

For me, the skin around my eyes and my lips are the areas that get the most dehydrated during the cold months! Drinking plenty of water helps, but I love a simple, dual-use product that safely treats both areas of concern! These sticks can help your skin and lips feel soft and moitsurized.

Hand + Foot Cream

Dry, itchy hands are a real problem in the colder months. We tend to take very hot showers or baths in the winter to warm up and get cozy, but it really dries out our skin! I always keep a travel-size moisturizer in my bag and a big one at home. Try to use one of these brands, that use ingredients like vitamins A and E, eucalyptus and lavender oils along with glycerine for a moisture barrier. Having something like this with you for on the go purposes is great for if you have a random flare up.
