St Patrick’s day is a few days away and we know you’re getting your outfit, makeup and hair look ready to go. It’s such a fun holiday to celebrate Irish Heritage. Irish or not, it is mostly about going out with a group of friends for a pub crawl! You’ll want to look cute and wear some green. Time to dig out your “Kiss Me I’m Irish” or “Luck o’ the Irish” tee and get ready! Here are our favorite St. Patrick’s Day makeup and hair looks.
Makeup
I’ve gathered up some makeup products to give yourself a festive look for the day. It’s fun to get a little gimmicky or over the top. I have a favorite plastic shamrock necklace with a mini green beer mug hanging from it!
Green eyeshadow
Most of us don’t wear green eye looks on the daily, but today nobody will blink an eye! Here are a few good ones to try:
Colourpop Animal Crossing shadow palette in Nook, Inc.
This one is super cute and has some pretty and usable green shades in matte and shimmer. While there are only four shades, they are large pans that will last you a really long time. Colourpop is also known for its high quality and high pigmentations, so this Animal Crossing palette is not only cute but high class.
Colourpop Mint to Be Palette
This eyeshadow palette has all your green hues covered and comes with nine different shades. This one is especially good if you’re going for a light mint or light green look. And once again, it’s made by Colourpop so the pigmentation will be up to your standards.
Gold eyeshadow
Okay. Let’s not forget the gold! That pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! If you’re going gold instead of green, or even a mix of both, here are 2 of my favorite liquid gold eyeshadows:
Haus Laboratories Glam Attack Liquid Eyeshadow in Legend
Haus Laboratories, although new is already making waves in the makeup industry. This liquid eyeshadow is a bold glittery gold.
E.L.F. Cosmetics Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in 24K Gold
E.L.F. is one of our favorite tried and true drugstore brands. If you’re working on a budget or don’t want to spend a ton on something you might never use again, this liquid gold eyeshadow is for you!
Gemstones
Want to go a little Euphoria with it? Adding in some gemstones can really take a standard day-to-day look and make it really festive. Go over the top, why not?
Hair
Celtic braids
You can have fun with your hair too for St. Patrick’s Day! Try to channel your inner Celtic warrior woman or princess with one of these complicated-looking but easy-to-do braids like this pull-through faux braid.
Fishtail braid
Need something a little easier? Not everyone can whip out a perfect Celtic braid, and we get that. A fishtail braid only requires 2 strands and once you get the hang of it, you’ll be doing it in no time!
Celtic Knot
If you are feeling ambitious you can try this Celtic Knot design! This tutorial makes it look easy, but this one may be better if you have a friend do it for you while watching this video. This might be fun to sit around with the girls and help each other get your hair looking awesome.
What are your favorite St. Patrick’s Day makeup and hair looks? We hope you have an amazing time and look amazing while doing it! Most importantly have fun, celebrate Spring Break with a little Irish Heritage thrown in and be safe!
