A Treadmill Strut Playlist For Everyone – Check Out TikTok’s New Fitness Trend
I love going to the gym, but sometimes I’m at a loss for what to do. Walking on the treadmill is fun, but can grow tireless and boring after too many trips to the gym. Sometimes, I feel like watching a TV show, listening to music or listening to a podcast isn’t stimulating enough for me. This is why I have been obsessed with TikTok’s latest fitness trend: treadmill struts. Basically, these struts (originally created by @benntheredonethat on TikTok) are 30-minute (ish) treadmill workouts that use the beat of the music in a playlist to simulate an intensity and speed as you walk. There are some excellent (and easy) themed struts that I’ve been obsessed with. Here are a few treadmill strut playlist options for you to try out!
Taylor Swift Strut
For most of these struts, the beat of the music will match the pace at which you’re walking. In this one, you start at 3.4 mph and adjust up 0.1 mph every time the song changes. This means it is important not to put the playlist on shuffle! Here’s the official playlist:
Song: The Man
Speed: 3.4 mph
Song: How You Get The Girl
Speed: 3.5 mph
Song: Message In A Bottle (Taylor’s Version)
Speed: 3.6 mph
Song: Better Than Revenge
Speed: 3.7 mph
Song: New Romantics
Speed: 3.8 mph
Song: You Belong With Me (Taylor’s Version)
Speed: 3.9 mph
Song: Look What You Made Me Do
Speed: 4.0 mph
Song: Shake It Off
Speed: 7.0 mph (or continue a fast walk)
Song: …Ready For It?

Song: Style
Speed: 3.0 mph (cooldown)
Mamma Mia Strut
Mamma Mia is the perfect vibe for summer! That’s why this treadmill strut is so fun! This one starts at 3.6 mph this time (but keep in mind, based on height, you may need to adjust)! Here’s your lineup:
