Pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) are officially going on tour! The band recently announced their world tour “The 5 Seconds of Summer Show,” which is set to span over 30 dates beginning in Buenos Aires, Argentina in July. This tour comes after last year’s release of their highly anticipated fifth album “5SOS5” and their highly successful “Take My Hand World Tour.” They also performed a sold-out-one-night-only show called “The Feeling of Falling Upwards” at London’s the Royal Albert Hall on the eve of their album’s release. Whether you’ve been in the 5SOS Fam since 2011, their days touring with One Direction or if you’re a new member, you know that Calum, Ashton, Luke and Michael know how to put on a show. So, if you managed to snag tickets to one of their upcoming concerts, it’s time to start brainstorming ideas for what you’re going to wear. Ashton recently tweeted his response to a fan about the vibe of the upcoming tour and included four categories: “Rock n roll, historic, sexy and cute n chique.” So, going off of his tweet, here are four 5SOS concert outfit ideas!

Throwback Looks

There’s no better way to channel the historic vibes than breaking out some iconic throwback 5SOS looks. I’m talking full 2014 with Ashton’s bandanas, Michael’s Idiot flannel from the “Amnesia” music video, Calum’s old Nirvana shirt and let’s not forget Luke’s You Complete Mess shirt. If this outfit idea sounds like it’s up your alley, there are plenty of options available on sites like Amazon and Etsy. For example, both sites have a lot of shirts available from different 5SOS eras, such as this throwback to the “She Looks So Perfect” era, this t-shirt with the self-titled debut album art or this shirt with the band’s original logo. Pair any of these shirts with a pair of black skinny jeans, a flannel and combat boots and you’ll be sure to emulate what it was like to be a 5SOS fan circa 2014, trust me I would know. Bonus points if you still have those silicone bracelets from Hot Topic and wear them to the show.

Leather

Another outfit concept mentioned by Ashton was rock and nothing screams rock ‘n roll quite like leather. Whether you have a pair of faux leather pants, a leather jacket or a leather top, the outfit possibilities are endless. You can even pair leather pants with a band t-shirt for a sleeker fangirl look. However, if you want to go all out and emulate serious rockstar girlfriend vibes then pair leather pants with a leather blazer or jacket with a corset top or a leather tube top. Pair this outfit with combat boots, gold or silver jewelry and a clear purse or bag to complete this rock-worthy look.

Sparkle

Second to last is glitter because you can’t go wrong with wearing a sparkly outfit to a concert. If you want to go with a sparkly look, but don’t want to commit to going all out, it’s easy to achieve a subtle sparkly outfit. You can do this by pairing a jeweled crop top with a pair of jeans and comfy shoes. However, if you want to go all out with a bold look then I suggest pairing sparkly pants with a bandeau or tank top and a pair of heeled boots. You can even add glitter to your makeup to add even more flare to your look!

Velvet

Last on the list is velvet. Not only is it cute and chic, but it is also versatile so there are plenty of outfit combinations to choose from. If you’re just looking for a velvet top then this one from Amazon is such a cute option and it’s giving “Outer Space/Carry On” vibes. You can easily pair it with a pair of jeans, shorts or a skirt to complete the look. However, if you are looking to wear a dress, this one is very similar to the top and the sleeves add some flare to the outfit. Velvet pants are another option that can easily be paired with a neutral-colored top or a band t-shirt.
