Understanding The Personalities of the IDR Labs Test

The IDR Labs personality test is a series of 105 questions that ask you to reflect on your life, your social interactions, and your internal thoughts. Your answers help the quiz determine which of the 15 personality styles you most closely reflect, and you can even get multiple results. However, this test differs from your typical Myers-Briggs test, as this test determines what personality disorders you may have. Let’s say just say this may be the first test you don’t want to score a 100% on.

Narcissistic

Boastful yet with fragile self-esteem, those with a narcissistic personality tend to crave the best in everything and believe themselves to be superior to others.

Antisocial

Antisocial personalities lack remorse and do not regret their behavior, disregard the difference between right and wrong, and purposely manipulate the feelings of others.

Histrionic

Those with histrionic personalities tend to display constant attention-seeking behaviors, overreact emotionally, are highly emotional, highly suggestible, and focus their interests and conversations on themselves.

Dependent

Dependent personalities have an overreliance on those they are close to, allowing others to make decisions and take responsibility, while these personalities need to be cared for and fear separation.

Sadistic

Sadistic personalities have a desire to control and hurt others, display aggressive and cruel behavior, and tend to increase their violence levels to get others to obey them.

Compulsive

Otherwise known as obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, these personalities need perfectionism, organization, and control in their lives, oftentimes controlling other people.

Negativistic

Also known as passive aggressive personality disorder, those with this personality tend to act in ways contrary to the request of others, expressing their thoughts indirectly and are argumentative or aggressive.

Avoidant

Those with avoidant personalities have a fear of rejection from those around them and tend to have lower self-esteem, along with feelings of inadequacy.

Depressive

Depressive personalities tend to be glum and pessimistic, suffering from stifling and dark thoughts, and have an overpowering sense of giving up, seeing that there is no use in fighting to gain joy in life.

Masochistic

Masochistic personalities set themselves up for failure due to an unconscious need to punish themselves or oppressive feelings of guilt and tend to self-sabotage their efforts.

Borderline

Borderline personalities include mood instability, difficulty with relationships, and self-image.

Paranoid

Paranoid personalities have a natural distrust and suspicion of others without any real reason as they are always on guard and believe that others are out to get them.

Schizoid

Schizoid personalities show indifference to relationships and have limited emotional expression, are unable to develop meaningful relationships with people, and tend to excessively daydream.

Schizotypal

Schizotypal personalities are uncomfortable with close relationships and may exhibit eccentric behavior such as odd usage of speech, magical thinking, and distorted thinking.

Hypomanic

Hypomanic personalities are a part of bipolar disorder, in which a person displays elevated and extreme changes in mood, emotions, or energy levels, completely different from their usual self.
